Legal overview Updated
01

Your car

The owner or authorised user remains responsible for the vehicle, its documents, condition, and legal use.

02

Your journey

Booking details, driver arrival, routes, and changes should always follow the instructions shown in the app or booking.

03

Shared safety

Every person using the service must follow traffic law, communicate clearly, and act responsibly.

1. About the Drave service

Drave provides a way to request professional driving services for a customer-owned vehicle. Depending on the location and program available, Drave may facilitate the connection, coordinate the booking, and communicate trip information between the parties.

Service availability, eligible vehicles, booking times, routes, driver assignments, prices, and other trip-specific conditions may vary. Availability shown in the app, on the website, or in a booking confirmation is important and should be checked before travel.

Trip-specific terms apply

If a booking confirmation, receipt, or written notice contains conditions for a particular journey, those conditions supplement this overview.

2. Eligibility, accounts, and bookings

You must be legally able to enter into the relevant agreement and use the service only for lawful purposes. When creating an account or booking, provide accurate and current information. You are responsible for activity associated with your account unless the activity was unauthorised and you reported it promptly.

A booking is not guaranteed until the app or another Drave channel confirms it. Please check the pickup location, destination, date, time, vehicle details, estimated fare, driver information, and any service instructions before the journey begins.

Your vehicle and authorisation

Only request a driver when you own the vehicle or have the owner’s permission to provide it for the journey. You must be authorised to possess, register, insure, and operate the vehicle. Do not use the service for an unlawful, unsafe, or prohibited purpose.

3. Vehicle handover and return

At handover, follow the process shown in the app or provided by the driver. Share only the access needed for the agreed journey and return all access items promptly after the trip.

  • Record the vehicle condition and fuel or charge level before departure.
  • Keep keys, access cards, documents, and other handover items secure.
  • Do not leave valuables or sensitive documents in an unattended vehicle.
  • Report damage, loss, or an accident through the Drave channel as soon as it is safe to do so.
  • Return the vehicle to the agreed location in a materially similar condition.

Any inspection, photography, verification, or handover procedure does not transfer ownership or replace the owner’s obligations to maintain a roadworthy vehicle and valid legal coverage.

4. Charges, changes, and cancellations

Fares, deposits, service fees, waiting time, tolls, and other charges are communicated before or during booking where applicable. Unless a charge is stated as final, components such as distance, route, waiting time, or additional services may affect the final amount.

Change and cancellation options depend on the booking and the information shown before confirmation. A fee is charged only when it has been disclosed or is otherwise permitted by applicable law. Any refund is issued to the original payment method or as required by law, subject to the applicable booking terms.

Fraud and payment security

Do not share passwords, one-time codes, or full payment card details with drivers or support agents. Drave will not ask for your PIN or one-time authentication code by phone, message, or chat.

5. Safety, conduct, and prohibited use

Everyone involved in a Drave journey must follow applicable traffic and safety laws. This includes driving only when fit and authorised, securing every passenger, avoiding dangerous or impaired driving, and complying with seat-belt and child-safety requirements.

Harassment, threats, discrimination, unsafe passenger conduct, vehicle misrepresentation, illegal activity, and attempts to misuse the service are prohibited. Drave may decline, cancel, restrict, or suspend participation when reasonably necessary to protect people, vehicles, the service, or public safety.

Immediate danger

If anyone is in immediate danger or a serious incident is in progress, contact the appropriate local emergency service first. Do not delay urgent assistance to submit a support request.

6. Content and intellectual property

The Drave name, brand, software, app, website, visual materials, and other protected content belong to Drave or its relevant rights holders. These materials are provided for your personal, lawful use of the service.

You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, misuse, or remove ownership notices except where a restriction cannot lawfully be applied. Access to the service does not transfer any ownership or intellectual property rights to you.

7. Liability, disputes, and governing law

The service is provided on the basis described in the applicable booking, applicable law, and the limitations stated there. Nothing in this overview excludes rights, remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Neither the app nor the website can guarantee that every journey will be uninterrupted, that information will always be error-free, or that a specific outcome will occur. Nothing in the service replaces insurance, vehicle inspection, or duties imposed by law.

Where a problem occurs, preserve relevant booking records, contact support promptly, and use the booking-specific dispute process when one is provided. The governing law and dispute forum depend on the location where the service or trip is provided and must be identified in the applicable booking or local legal notice.

8. Changes to this information

This overview may be updated as the service, features, or applicable requirements change. The updated date at the top shows when the page was last revised. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised information for future use.

9. Questions and concerns

If you need help understanding a booking, a driver interaction, a payment, or a legal concern, visit the Drave support centre. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, or identity documents in an initial support message.

For how Drave collects and uses personal information, read the Privacy Policy. For the complete service agreement, read the Terms of Service.
